Chef Jesus Martinez started cooking seven years ago,  learning from mentors and former chefs.  His early artistic influences come from Michoacan, where he lived with his grandfather who is an artist.

In high school, Jesus was offered a scholarship to Berkeley to pursue his creative drive. He developed extensive culinary experience, working at some of the best restaurants in Chicago including Alinea and Blackbird.

For four and a half years, Chef Martinez was Sous Chef at Anson 11. It was there that he was strongly influenced by Chef Carlos Castillo, who he considers one of his key mentors.

In April 2018, Chef Martinez started a new adventure in his career as Executive Chef at Entrecote&co. Chef Martinez loves roadtrips and attending concerts.
